Through the lens of time

I have endeavored to erect a bridge between my past and present.

This self-portrait collection reminds me of what I had left in my childhood. Not only does it evoke memories, but it also is about discovering my true nature through self-investigation. What makes most childhood experiences memorable is that they are so colorful. Unlike the adult world, things are not very many shades of gray in the child’s perception. They do not observe the bitterness of adult life. Neither do adults pay attention to the colorful world of childhood. The children suffer more damage owing to the negligence of the adults. At this moment, I sometimes strive to seek the colors of my childhood. I occasionally try to regain the shades of gray. It sometimes provokes conflicts between this moment and what I was in the past. The only thing I can do is to heave a sigh.
